Dear Blog Readers,
I had spent last so many year in the field of training and I think I might have interacted with close to 2000 + Brains now and of course at executive people 1000 + as of now . yesterday I had a session with young brigade after completing my session which is more about consumerism in India and metamorphism of young India. I got enthused to come once again on my blog after so many days and write more about youngsters.
I see a trend now a days everyday I read at least one article about India as a young market and Indian as young nation( people refer 60 % of the people below 35 years of age .. I hope different agencies who quote this have verified above fact and have done proper reliability and validity test). Every brand talks about their fitment with young audience . Some brand reshape their target ,some reposition their value statement. I wonder sometime is it a sheep run or well researched run ????? As i starting writing that I spend my days more with youngsters( although I still qualify one among them :-)), i think i have some understanding about them . I always use to say this our youngsters are more straight forward , more honest and more open, But I also say this they are overburden . people are overburdening them with their own vested interest. I feel bad when I see people reiterate that everything is in the hand of youngster's and time has come where youngster's have to change lot of things. Thought like this prompted me to ask are we saying that we have made a enough mess in the last so many years and please come and clean the mess. If we are saying so is it the right signal which we are giving it to them . They look for their role models, they also have their own life to enjoy and cherish. is it not overburdening them will distort lot of cognitive thought process. from Brand to leaders to society to normal person is asking them please deliver or people are asking them now or never .
I always during my session tell students when they make a power point presentation that "power should be there in the point and it should not be just a power point presentation " But youth ( including me ) can ask all the people who have raised expectation from them . Have you given me a typical power point of what went wrong and when it went wrong rather then saying what went right and when it went right .
I urge people to raise expectation but please be rationale in understanding that we can't expect each and everything from them . they also have freedom to live as they want . More important to say they are quite knowledgeable to decide what is right and what is wrong .
"Lets us not overburden them let us empathise and guide them" .....

1996 VERSUS 2011
In continuation for thread crcketing experience of my life .
Now today we are standing at a juncture where everybody was talking about India Versus pakistan knockout 2011 . I remember 15 years back country was standing on the same juncture when indian meet pakistan in banglore.. I think it was 9th march 1996 ..now a days bengalluru . that match I remember was also a very high tense game . I was preparing for my engineering entrance during that time . at cricket is normally seen as a disturbance during studies.. how I manoever and made it sure to watch that match was also a snapshot of life. My elder brother was studying in his engineering and he was also inthe town as a result of vacation in his college. we were compeletely geared up for that day.. Those were the days in India where debate was going on to have cable television at home or not . Entire India Middle class families were having that as an important debate in the family and world cup has played an important catalyst in that battle. as people prefer to watch match in private broadcasters rather than soporofic broadcasting in our own Desi channel. Passion has not change a little but yes brand war has changed Marketing has changed.. Marketing war has changed ....we remember nothing official about it pepsi compaign .. and today pepse is the main sponsor.. during those days also pepsi had fantastic ad and even today also they have good unleashing of cricketer ( upar cut and all)... Match went to down the wire had jadeja ,sidhu,venkatesh stood up to the occasion and india had a famous victory .. One thing which I think we need to touch base .. lot of things have changed in last 15 years.. so many news channel,mobile war,cable televiosion, multiplex viewing ,life streaming video ,facebook mania (where every has become an expert on cricket).. I think this 15 years how we as a country has changed .. good thing is more developed... more fast .. more vibrant.. nice too see this.. but what about our neighbouring country.. i think all of us know what has happened to them in last 15 years... Indian citizen to say this with a pride that as we link everything to cricket..so much of changes in last 15 years.. good news is as a nation we have moved ahead.. but as an individual... Lets ask ourself are we the same indian which we use to be during those days or we have become more artificial.. everything is more artifical.. more fabricated.. during those days people use to celebrate in mohallas of small town .. where is that India ? people use to chat on pan shops for so long.. people use to play cricket to vent out their feeling .. what is happening now.. more nuclear family.. more artifical relationship ( where catch up,meet up .will give you a call and both party also know that catch up meet up and call will not happened at any time), I think cricket should be look from that angle also.. where are we heading towards.. cricket gives us an opportunity to compare ourself from few years backk. are we reallly positive side.. TIME HAS COME FOR ALL OF US TO THINK .. THINK BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE..........

Cricketing Journey of my life..
Once again world cup 50-50 over match is on the cusp of inauguration . Once again nostalgia and cognitive feeling is at its best. Star and espn the official broadcaster of this edition of world cup is trying to do so. I still remember my childhood days and sense of urgency for the world cup . World cup in small town at madhya pradesh to be more specific vidisha was one of the memorable moment of my life. How as a family we gear up for watching world cup . I still recall I was a kid when Indian were playing their final match at lords 1983 match and some snapshots which i remember that my father was very happy as India were winning the match and we were participating in one of my elder cousins marriage . That snapshot get cascaded in years to follow. And as any normal Indian citizen I also started following world cup . Those were the days were entire India was getting the grip of DOORDARSHAN . To buy a television use to be a memorable event in the family. Just few days back my brother came from US . I was surprised and abashed to know that he still remember the day when we bought our vcr . yes that use to be the moment in the family. Although i have a certificate @ home that I remember most of the childhood memories but on that day I was delighted to know my brother know the date which i did not even remember.
Anyways coming back to the worldcup My childhood days were in a very protected environment as younger one in the family. I always enjoy attention of my family member . I have the privilege to have lot of nickname which they use to tell as a typical Laad ( hindi word) my name use to gutku,gutkins,chotu,gonzi ponzi, and so on and so forth. While world cup magic was grabbing the entire country as well as durable market have also started growing . Same days I also started growing up.
My brother always Use to be ( still ) my role model . I always enjoy his company . he from the day one is a very versatile guy . He use to do well in academics and also use to be excellent in extra Curr. activities. he use to lead our cricket . His bowling use to be ferocious and we all use to be die hard fan of his cricketing skills. But in terms of cricket he always love to play cricket and I always love to watch cricket and play a little bit . During those days just opposite to my house we had neighbours name as vij uncle. Our mohalla was called sherpura colony and sherpura colony was very vibrant. As there were lot of kinds in the age bracket of 10 -15 and 15-20 . By virtue of this we also use to be called as Yuvrajj ki colony ..
As i was mentioning about vij uncle . Vij Uncle son used to be very close friend of mine . His name was sonu .. sonu vij... ( Or late sonu vij.. few years back he passed away ) .. Sonu bhaiya was one of my great pal.. Although he was 5-10 years older than me . But we use to gel like anything. ( Which i discovered latter on in my life that I always use to get gel very well with elders ) .
Sonu bhaiya was instrumental in putting that kiiiidda of cricket in my blood ( Kiida is a hindi word which means putting an addiction of something in our house dictionary) .. he everyday use to give me tips of cricket . I was very fond of him . During those days we use to have one television in the entire mohalla and television use to be at jha uncle place.
As my father also use to love cricket so he always use to go there with our very good family friend machwe uncle. Machwe uncle to introduce works in the same college where my father use to work and both of them were working there as a professor . Machwe uncle is having excelent sense of humour and he always use to tell us scripted story and we all use to thoroughly enjoy his version.
Father and he use to go to jha uncle house and they watch cricket there . During those days watching cricket also use to be a mohalla event. where one gather at one place and watch cricket .. (with a dream that one day they will also have television at their home ) .. I remember to have antenna on ones house use to be a matter of pride.
I remember one incidence my father went to see some match at jha uncle place and it was some late night we all kids were sleeping with all the anxiety of knowing whether india has won or not ( without having no know how of cricket and India. I still remember I use to ask some of my uncle during cricket matches only that hindustan jeeta ki india jeeta... So that use to be my level of thinking..) Anyways let us come back to that day story .. So next first thing which three of us were interested in knowing .. three means . Me my bro and My sister( she is working as a renowned gynaecologist now a days in bhopal ) And as soon as father has break the news that India had won and kirti azad was the man of the match.For us that breaking news is better then any breaking news which now a days news channels use to post we all three jumped with a joy ( a joy like some wonders has happened in our life) .. In this joy as I was telling that I use to be pamper kid so My bro and my sis put me on ther shoulders and started shouting .. hamara Kirti Azad... Gutku hamara Kirti azad.. In all this exuberance I also started feeling like I am the greatest hero in the entire world and have started jumping.. Suddenly out exuberance has landed up in some thing which i can never forget in my life. ... I fall down from the shoulders and there was a table lying there .. As soon I fall down my two upper teeth got crashed over the sharp edge of the table.. And as there was a transition from a milky teeth to a permanent teeth.. And blood started coming out.. but luckily nothing major storm had happened... Only thing which has happened is because of tooth crash.. I got a gap between two upper teeth ( Which helps me in Smiling) .. and that gap still pertains.. So that was my first experience with cricket .. Whenever i see that gap still I remember those fantastic days of my life.....
